The manuscript Entanglement production through a cosmological bounce that I recently co-authored with Viqar Husain, Irfan Javed and Nomaan X got an honourable mention in the 2024 Gravity Research Foundation essay competition. This paper studies how the entanglement between a homogeneous cosmological spacetime and a massless scalar field in evolves through a quantum cosmological bounce. The general conclusion is that the quantum entanglement between matter and geometry is a ubiquitous feature of this kind of model, which raises interesting questions about how our classical universe is to emerge from a primordial quantum era.
